The Viator was built in 1904 in Bodo, Norway as a steel hull steamer with wooden decks. The ship carried paper pulp, cod liver oil, pickled herring, and other fish products. The ship collided with the steamer Ormidale on October 31, 1935 and sank. The wreck is in excellent condition with the stern burried in the mud. The wreck is located off Thunder Bay Island, MI.
