Benjamin Franklin


The Benjamin Franklin is a wooden sidewheel streamer that was built in 1842 by Appleby, Gilman, Buffalo, New York. The ship was used to transport passengers and freight for TBI lighthouse and fishermen. The ship grounded in a storm on Thunder Bay Island reef on October 8, 1850.
