Barge No. 1

Barge No. 1 foundered after grounding on North Point reef in a storm on November 8, 1918. It is located 1.5 miles south of North Point. It was built in 1895 by James Davidson, Bay City. It was used to transport lumber and live chickens. The wreck has collapsed but is still complete. A large steering quadrant, starboard davits, second deck supports, and large timbers make for an excellent dive.
